Merlin

Merlin is a British television series about Merlin, and how things work in his life and character, in the clip the first person that we see is Merlin so this will alert the audience he must be important. So the audience will try and remember all the important things from the start of the program. The filmsetting from the King Arthur times so obviously props are going to look different than what they would today and also would of mostly been male dominated.

Throughout the short clip that we watch there is a lot of voices that have been put over that top of the footage, Most of the voices that are heard are male voices to get the message through again that the setting would have been more male dominate, one of the voice over’s sounds like it is coming from a battle scene, this could be to show that men are out fighting for the ground and the woman would be looking after everything at the house.

As well as the voice backing and the setting. There is also some various camera angles that show that there is male dominance for instance there is a shot of the King that is looking up at the King, Making us feel small and make him seem very powerful, there is not any of this for the woman in the film.
